Aster DM Healthcare Expands Whitefield Hospital Capacity with Rs. 96 Crore Investment
Aster DM Healthcare Limited, one of India’s largest integrated healthcare providers, has significantly expanded its footprint in Bengaluru with a dedicated investment of Rs. 96 crore. The expansion focuses on the 'Women & Children' facility at Aster Whitefield Hospital, strengthening the company’s presence in the region.The upgrade boosts Aster Whitefield Hospital's total bed capacity from 380 beds to 539 beds. The advanced treatment centre, titled the 'Aster Women & Children,' is designed to cater to the diverse healthcare needs of women and children from various geographical areas.
The dedicated 159-bed facility provides comprehensive and specialized maternity care, covering services from the preconception stage through to delivery. It is equipped with a wide array of modern services, including water birthing, advanced laparoscopic gynaecology services, a child development centre, a foetal medicine and surgery unit, a level 3A NICU, fertility centre, and specialized units for neonatal & pediatric surgical services, pediatric intensive care unit, and high dependency unit (HDU).
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder & Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, stated that the expansion reflects the company's commitment to advanced infrastructure and specialized expertise. He noted that scaling capacity and capabilities is essential as the demand for high-quality maternal and pediatric care continues to grow.
The Whitefield expansion marks a substantial part of Aster's broader strategy to advance healthcare across Bengaluru. This initiative, coupled with the upcoming 500-bed Yeshwantpur hospital and the 430-bed Sarjapur facility, is set to increase Aster's total operational capacity in Karnataka to 2,573 beds. This move solidifies the healthcare provider's regional standing.
