Ashiana Housing Ltd. Receives Rectification Order Regarding GST Demand
Ashiana Housing Ltd. announced on April 1, 2026, that the GST Department in Jaipur has issued a rectification order related to a previous order under section 74 of the CGST Act 2017. The initial order, passed by the Proper Officer, involved a late payment of tax liability amounting to ₹ 4,18,776.Of this total, ₹ 1,49,311 has already been paid by the company. The rectification order has dropped the remaining demand of ₹ 2,69,465, which pertained to interest on the delayed tax payment.
According to a communication from the Office of the Superintendent, CGST Range - XXXVIII, Jaipur (South Central), the rectification order does not involve any violation or contravention. The order-in-original was dated March 30, 2026, and received by the company on April 1, 2026.
Ashiana Housing Ltd. stated that the rectification order will have no significant impact on the financial or operational performance of the company. The company is currently reviewing and reconciling its records to assess the full monetary implications.
