Ajit Kumar Panda Appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Container Corporation of India Limited
Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has appointed Shri Ajit Kumar Panda as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). The appointment was made following a Board of Directors meeting, which followed the receipt of an order from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.Shri Ajit Kumar Panda, who currently serves as a Director (Projects & Services) at CONCOR, has been selected for the senior leadership position.
The Board decided on the appointment after receiving the requisite order from the Ministry of Railways and considering the recommendation put forth by the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.
As per the terms established by the Board, Shri Panda will assume the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of CONCOR from a date on or after August 1, 2026. His tenure is set to last until August 31, 2028, which marks his superannuation date, or until earlier orders may specify.
CONCOR, described as a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) of the Government of India, has appointed Shri Ajit Kumar Panda in response to the directive received from the Ministry of Railways regarding the leadership change at the corporation.
