The decision follows a board evaluation that determined that the supply disruption of industrial gas required for production is likely to persist, rendering the resumption of operations commercially and operationally unviable at present.The closure concerns only part of the company's operations pertaining to the Jhajjar manufacturing unit. The Company had previously disclosed on May 16, 2026, that the unit’s operations were temporarily suspended due to the lack or disruption in industrial gas supply. Following a review by the Board of Directors, the company has made the decision to permanently wind down the operations at this specific unit.
In response to the closure, A G Universal Limited is implementing a strategic pivot. The Company will scale up and focus exclusively on its remaining Trading Segment. Capital and management resources are being immediately reallocated to optimize the volume and profitability of the trading operations to minimize impact on the overall business value.
The company stated that it is taking all necessary steps to safeguard the interests of employees, customers, and other stakeholders, while adhering to contractual and statutory obligations arising from the closure.
