Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) announced its financial and operational performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, highlighting a strong start to Fiscal Year 2027. The company reported consolidated figures demonstrating robust growth across its core energy platforms, driven by contributions from transmission, smart metering, and the Energy Solutions Platform segment.

The consolidated results show significant increases in revenue and profitability. Total Income for Q1 FY27 reached Rs 9,852 crore, marking a 40% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The company achieved an all-time high EBITDA of Rs 3,178 crore, which reflects robust growth of 58%. Profit After Tax (PAT) increased by 130% YoY to Rs 1,237 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 539 crore in Q1 FY26. Cash profit stood at Rs 1,776 crore, growing by 70% YoY.

Segment-wise Financial and Operational Highlights​

AESL's business segments showed varied but generally positive performances. The transmission business recorded an Operating Revenue of Rs 1,596 crore in Q1 FY27, up 36%, with an Operating EBITDA of Rs 1,477 crore, maintaining a 92% EBITDA margin.

The distribution segment (covering AEML and MUL) generated an Operating Revenue of Rs 3,520 crore, up 5% from Q1 FY26, alongside an Operating EBITDA of Rs 587 crore, which is an increase of 19%.

The Smart Metering business saw significant growth. Operating Revenue for the segment reached Rs 347 crore in Q1 FY27, a considerable rise from Rs 112 crore in Q1 FY26 (a 136% increase). The segment recorded an Operating EBITDA of Rs 311 crore, reflecting a 141% YoY growth, while maintaining an 89% EBITDA margin.

The Energy Solutions Platform contributed an Operating Revenue of Rs 1,839 crore in Q1 FY27 and generated an Operating EBITDA of Rs 590 crore.

Operational Milestones and Growth Drivers​

Smart Metering Expansion: AESL has completed a cumulative installation of 13.44 million smart meters, demonstrating strong operational efficiency. The company is also ramping up its smart metering business with an order book standing at 24.6 million meters, translating to a revenue potential of Rs 29,519 crore. In related strategic development, AESL announced the acquisition of IntelliSmart, positioning the company to become India's largest smart metering platform with a total portfolio size of 47+ million meters.

Transmission Pipeline and Capacity: The company has a robust pipeline of 13 projects under construction in transmission, valued at Rs 71,779 crore. Furthermore, the near-term tendering opportunity in the transmission sector remains solid, estimated at approximately Rs 1.1 lakh crore. Operational parameters for the transmission business included an average availability of 99.6%.

Distribution Business Updates: Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) reported a Regulated Asset Base (RAB) of Rs 10,353 crores as of Q1 FY27. The Mumbai circle saw units sold increase by 11% to 3,260 MU's compared to 2,939 MU's in Q1 FY26. MPSEZ (Mundra) Utility Ltd. (MUL) reported a 57% YoY growth in units sold, reaching 425 MUs versus 272 MUs last year. The distribution loss at AEML was recorded at 5.16%, which was attributed to extreme heatwave conditions leading to increased energy consumption.

Energy Solutions and ESG: The Energy Solutions Platform holds approximately 4.0 GW supply tie-up across solar and wind, along with a 1+ GW energy portfolio in C&I and data centres. On the corporate sustainability front, AESL's ESG Risk Rating was improved by ESG Risk Assessments and Insights Limited to 73/100 in June 2026. Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating also improved to 18.5 (Low Risk).

Capital Management and Credit Ratings​

ICRA reaffirmed AESL’s strong credit profile, maintaining its long-term rating at AA+ (Stable) and assigning the short-term rating of A1+ to its facilities. Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) maintained all its credit ratings, consistent with previous quarter performance.

ADANIENSOL Stock Price Movement​

Adani Energy Solutions Limited shares closed higher today, settling at ₹1741.6 after gaining 0.44% on the market close. The stock successfully claimed a new high by reaching ₹1789, marking its 52-week peak amid an intraday trading range spanning from ₹1718.6 to ₹1789.
