
Adani Ports Handles Record Cargo Volumes, Surpasses 500 MMT Milestone in FY26
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) announced record cargo handling figures for March 2026 and the fiscal year 2026. The company reported handling its highest-ever monthly cargo volume of 46 million metric tonnes (MMT) in March 2026, a 11% year-over-year increase, largely fueled by a 14% year-over-year rise in container volume.For the full fiscal year 2026, APSEZ handled 500.8 MMT of cargo, marking an 11% year-over-year increase and led by a 19% year-over-year increase in container volume.
Container traffic at the Container Terminal W1 (CWIT) reached a significant milestone, handling 1.06 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in FY26, its first full year of operations. CWIT also achieved its highest-ever monthly volume with 134,960 TEUs in March 2026.
The Haifa port, which is operational, handled 0.77 MMT in March 2026, compared to 0.59 MMT in February 2026.
Logistics rail volume totaled 55,237 TEUs in March 2026, a 7% decrease year-over-year, while GPWIS volume stood at 2.0 MMT, down 3% year-over-year. For the full fiscal year, logistics rail volume reached 695,517 TEUs, an 8% increase, and GPWIS volume was 21.7 MMT, a 1% decrease.
