HCLTech Expands Strategic Partnership with Google Cloud to Accelerate Agentic AI Adoption​

Collaboration to Focus on AI Agents, Enterprise Automation, and Workforce Expansion​

HCL Technologies Ltd announced on Thursday, March 12, that it has expanded its strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to help enterprises accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI across industries.

In a press release filed with the stock exchanges, the IT services major said the partnership will leverage Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise platform and Gemini models to develop custom artificial intelligence agents for global clients. The collaboration will also strengthen enterprise productivity and security through deeper integration with Google Workspace.

Driving Enterprise AI Transformation​

The expanded partnership is aimed at enabling enterprises to scale artificial intelligence adoption by embedding AI capabilities into business systems, operational workflows, and decision making processes. The companies said this approach is expected to help organisations improve operational efficiency while unlocking new technology-driven capabilities.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President for Global Ecosystem and Channels at Google Cloud, said HCLTech has built a strong foundation in AI implementation and cloud expertise.

He noted that the company has more than 23,000 Google Cloud-trained professionals and is already delivering production-ready AI agents for enterprise clients.

AI Solutions Built on Gemini and AI Force Platform​

As part of the collaboration, the two companies will develop AI-driven solutions by integrating HCLTech’s AI Force platform with Google’s Gemini models. The partnership will also focus on launching industry-specific Agentic AI solutions and expanding dedicated innovation hubs designed to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.

HCLTech said several AI agents developed by the company are already available on the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Ichhpurani added that the collaboration will help bring Gemini Enterprise capabilities to a wider customer base through industry-focused solutions.

Workforce Expansion to Support Growing AI Demand​

To support increasing demand for AI-led enterprise transformation, HCLTech plans to significantly expand its Google Cloud-certified workforce. The company intends to grow its certified talent pool from around 12,000 professionals to more than 35,000 over the next three years.

Vijay Guntur, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, said the expanded partnership strengthens the company’s relationship with Google Cloud and is aimed at helping enterprises scale artificial intelligence adoption in line with their business objectives.

HCLTech Share Price Movement​

Shares of HCL Technologies were trading 0.47 percent higher at ₹1,356.70 as of 3:09 pm on Thursday. The stock has declined more than 8 percent over the past one month.
