A2Z Infra Engineering Limited Director Amit Mittal Released on Bail by High Court

A2Z Infra Engineering Limited announced that Mr. Amit Mittal, who serves as Managing Director cum CEO and Promoter of the company, has been released on bail. The release followed an order issued by the Hon'ble High Court of Chhattisgarh dated July 03, 2026.

Mr. Mittal had previously been taken into judicial custody by the Economic Offence Wing-Anti Corruption Bureau (EOW-ACB), Chhattisgarh.

The court’s order provided specific reasons for granting bail. According to the relevant portion of the judgment, there was no independent material demonstrating that Mr. Mittal personally instructed payment of illegal commission, prepared forged documents, handled alleged cash transactions, or participated in the alleged conspiracy.

Furthermore, the High Court noted several circumstances regarding the case. It observed that Mr. Mittal was not named in the First Information Report (FIR). The court also highlighted his full cooperation with the investigation despite being arrested after a period of prior engagement with the investigating officer pursuant to summonses.

The order further detailed that the investigation is concluded and the charge-sheet has been filed. It noted that the evidence remains predominantly documentary, and no recovery needs to be made from him. The court also stated that operational control of the Company appeared, prima facie, to have been exercised by Mr. N. Uday.

In the final assessment regarding custodial detention, the Court considered that further detention would not serve any useful purpose given his serious medical ailments requiring continuous treatment.
