100 Flights Expected From UAE as Indian Airspace Links Stabilize Across the Gulf

Key Connectivity Routes Stabilize From Gulf Nations​

A notable revival of air service is anticipated from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with approximately 100 flights expected to arrive in India on Tuesday. The statement confirmed that airlines continue to operate from various airports in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Limited non-scheduled commercial flights are currently running, guided strictly by operational and safety considerations.

Updates on Critical Airspaces and Destinations​

Specific updates were provided regarding several neighboring countries, outlining the current operational status of their respective airspaces.

Gulf Air is poised to initiate limited flight operations from Bahrain to India shortly. Currently, Gulf Air is maintaining non-scheduled flights from Dammam Airport in Saudi Arabia to India.

For Kuwait, airspace remains closed. However, Jazeera Airways of Kuwait and Kuwait Airways continue to facilitate non-scheduled commercial flights from Dammam Airport in Saudi Arabia to India. Travel of Indian nationals from Kuwait is being facilitated through Saudi Arabia.

Resumption of Services From Iraq and Israel​

Connectivity from Iraq has resumed, with Iraqi Airways having reactivated its flights to India. The Ministry stressed that travel of Indian nationals continues to be facilitated from Iraq, through Jordan and Saudi Arabia, into India.

Meanwhile, Israel airspace is reported as partially open, allowing for restricted flight operations. Travel of Indian nationals is actively being facilitated from Israel, utilizing pathways through Jordan and Egypt into India.

Coordination and Support for Indian Nationals​

Overall, around 9,55,000 passengers have traveled from the Gulf region to India since February 28, marked by the start of the Iran conflict.

The Ministry of External Affairs is maintaining proactive and continuous coordination with State Governments and Union Territories. Efforts remain acutely focused on the safety, security, and welfare of the resident Indian community.

Indian Missions and Posts are ensuring round-the-clock support via helplines. They are issuing regularly updated advisories, including essential information on local government guidelines, flight and travel situations, and consular services.

Additionally, the Embassy in Tehran has so far played a crucial role in facilitating the movement of 2,313 Indian nationals from Iran to Armenia and Azerbaijan for onward journeys to India. This group included 1,028 Indian students and 657 Indian fishermen.
