ZF Steering Gear India Ltd. Resolves Tax Deduction Appeals, No Additional Financial Impact
Pune, India – March 30, 2026 – ZF Steering Gear India Ltd. announced a resolution regarding ongoing appellate proceedings related to income tax deductions for assessment years 1995-96 to 2004-05. The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Pune Bench, had previously directed the case back to the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) for further review.The CIT(A)-28, Delhi, issued orders on March 27, 2026, disposing of the appeals and disallowing the company’s claim for deduction under Sections 80-IA and 80-IB of the Income-tax Act.
ZF Steering Gear India Ltd. confirmed that the full tax demand resulting from these disallowances had been settled prior to the appeal process. Consequently, the company stated that the orders will not result in any additional financial impact.
The company plans to file rectification applications and further appeals with higher appellate authorities, guided by legal counsel.
