Zappfresh Signs MoU for Fish Sourcing in NCR, Expands Farm-to-Fork Supply Chain

New Delhi, March 24, 2026 – Zappfresh (DSM Fresh Foods Ltd.), a listed fresh and frozen food company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a farm operator in Ghaziabad to strengthen backward integration and build a more reliable sourcing ecosystem.

The partnership will enable Zappfresh to directly procure fish from aquaculture farms spanning approximately 50 acres in Village Masurie, Ghaziabad. The collaboration aims to improve quality, traceability, and supply consistency while supporting the growing demand for safe, hygienic, and high-quality food products.

The objective of this collaboration is to create a structured farm-to-fork model that ensures transparency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability in sourcing. By working closely with farm-level partners, Zappfresh aims to standardize quality, improve yield, and build a dependable supply network. The company plans to expand similar collaborations across key sourcing regions to deepen its farm-level presence.

Deepanshu Manchanda, Managing Director, Zappfresh, stated that the company aims to increase the contribution of fish & seafood from approximately 20% to approximately 30% of its portfolio.

Under the terms of the MoU, Zappfresh will provide demand visibility and assured offtake, along with support for branding, traceability, and quality standardization at the farm level. The farm will be integrated into Zappfresh’s processing, cold chain, and distribution network, enabling efficient movement of produce from farm to market. The company will also provide technical inputs to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
