Wipro Expands Operations in South Korea with Seoul Innovation Lab
New Delhi, March 23, 2026 – Wipro Limited announced the expansion of its business operations in South Korea, including a larger office in Seoul and the launch of a new Seoul Innovation Lab as part of its Wipro Innovation Network (WIN).The Seoul Innovation Lab, Wipro’s ninth global facility, will focus on the technology, automotive, and industrial sectors, supporting use cases such as intelligent product engineering, software-defined vehicles, smart manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and AI-enabled operations.
South Korea has emerged as a major global innovation hub with leadership in semiconductors, advanced technology, automotive engineering, and industrial manufacturing. Wipro employs several hundred professionals locally and continues to invest in local talent and academic partnerships to upskill early-career professionals in advanced technology and innovation programs.“Wipro’s expanded presence reflects our long-term commitment to South Korea as a strategic growth market. By strengthening local capabilities, connecting Korea into our global delivery and innovation network, and co-innovating with clients, we aim to help enterprises translate innovation into measurable business outcomes,” said Vinay Firake, CEO of APMEA Strategic Market Unit, Wipro Limited.
The new lab will serve as a collaborative space for South Korean clients and ecosystem partners, enabling co-creation, experimentation, and AI-powered solution development. It will also showcase Wipro Intelligence, a suite of AI-driven platforms and solutions designed to accelerate business transformation.
The expansion builds on Wipro’s acquisition of the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of HARMAN, a Samsung company, completed last year. As part of the integration, over 5,000 professionals, including senior leaders from South Korea, the Americas, Europe, and India, have joined Wipro.
By combining local industry knowledge with Wipro’s global AI and engineering capabilities, the Seoul Innovation Lab aims to accelerate innovation from concept to deployment, reinforcing South Korea’s position as a key strategic market for the company.
