Welspun Living Limited Approves Stake Acquisition in Welspun Corporate Services Limited, Announces Management Changes and Capital Expenditure Increase​

Welspun Living Limited (formerly Welspun India Limited) announced several key developments following a board meeting held on March 19, 2026. The company approved the acquisition of a 35% stake in Welspun Corporate Services Limited (WCSL, formerly Welspun Home Textiles Limited) for Rs. 35,000. Other Welspun Group entities will acquire the remaining 65% stake. WCSL will function as a centralized corporate services platform providing services including human resources, legal, regulatory compliance, taxation, corporate restructuring, and strategic advisory. The acquisition will position WCSL as an associate company of Welspun Living Limited. A joint shareholders' agreement will be entered into by the company and other Welspun Group entities.

The Board also noted the resignation of Mr. Rajesh Jain as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) effective March 31, 2026, and approved the appointment of Ms. Sonia Sharma as Vice President - Human Resources, effective April 1, 2026.

In addition, the Board approved an increase in capital expenditure from Rs. 75 Crore to Rs. 159.38 Crore for the transmission of renewable energy power to the Anjar facility. The increase covers costs associated with CTU connectivity, land acquisition, a substation bay, transmission line erection, and internal connectivity ring changes.
