Tulsyan NEC Limited Secures Power Purchase Agreement for 60 MW

Tulsyan NEC Limited has entered into a back-to-back Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Manikaran Power Limited to supply 60 MW of Round the Clock (RTC) power to Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL), starting April 2026 and continuing through March 2031. The agreement stipulates a price of Rs.5.91 per unit.

Tulsyan NEC Limited participated in a tender issued by TNPDCL seeking 1000 MW of RTC power. The company partnered with Manikaran Power Limited to fulfill the requirement. The PPA is expected to ensure continued operations of the company’s power plant units at full capacity for the next five years.

The agreement also makes Tulsyan NEC Limited eligible for the allotment of Coal/Coal linkage under the SHAKTI Policy of 2025, which is anticipated to provide access to Indian coal at reasonable prices. The company anticipates consistent EBITDA during the PPA tenure, upon sourcing Indian Coal. Tulsyan NEC Ltd. has also received Independent Power Producer (IPP) Certification from the Central Electricity Inspectorate General.
