CM A Revanth Reddy Positions Hyderabad as Future Global Life Sciences Capital
Hyderabad, February 17: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has issued a strong global pitch to investors, inviting them to partner in the state’s growth story as it accelerates its ambitions in life sciences, biotechnology, and innovation.

Speaking at the inauguration of BioAsia 2026, the Chief Minister declared that Telangana is no longer competing only within India but is benchmarking itself against leading global clusters. He said Hyderabad has evolved into a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres, reinforcing its position in the global innovation ecosystem.

Reddy assured potential investors that the state government, officials, scientists, skilled youth, and local businesses would work as partners in every venture established in Telangana.

“I invite you to invest here, establish your GCC, build innovation engines, design molecules and drugs, manage your clinical analytics, build AI platforms, and drive digital manufacturing,” he said, adding that collaborative efforts would help Hyderabad transition from being the vaccine capital of the world to becoming the global life sciences capital.

Telangana Rising 2047 Vision: $3 Trillion Economy Target

Highlighting the state’s long term economic roadmap, Reddy referred to the recently unveiled “Telangana Rising 2047” vision. The plan aims to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

According to the Chief Minister, emerging trends in life sciences demand deeper collaboration between research laboratories, corporates, start-ups, MSMEs, and the government. He emphasized that investors are seeking a trusted, stable, and future ready ecosystem, which Telangana intends to provide.

Telangana Targets Top Three Global Life Sciences Ranking

Industries Minister Sridhar Babu outlined the state’s sector specific goals, stating that Telangana aims to rank among the top three global life sciences clusters by the end of this decade.

The state is targeting $25 billion in investments in the life sciences sector and the creation of nearly five lakh high value jobs.

To support this ambition, the government has launched the “Young India Skills University,” with a focus on talent production. Through the Telangana School of Life Sciences, the state is preparing the next generation of scientists and engineers. Training will cover advanced domains such as mRNA technology, gene therapy, and artificial intelligence.

With a structured economic vision, sector focused investment targets, and emphasis on skill development, Telangana is positioning itself as a global hub for life sciences innovation and enterprise.
