Sundaram Clayton Announces Leadership Changes and Reversal of Company Secretary Appointment
Sundaram Clayton Limited announced leadership changes and a revised appointment for its Company Secretary, following a board meeting held on March 30, 2026.Mr. R Gopalan has stepped down from his role as Chairman of the company, effective immediately. He will continue serving as a Non-Executive Independent Director. Mr. Venu Srinivasan, previously Chairman Emeritus and Managing Director, has been re-designated as Chairman and Managing Director, also effective immediately.
The company also rescinded a previous announcement concerning changes in the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. Previously, it was stated that Mr. P D Dev Kishan would be relieved of his duties as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective April 5, 2026, and Ms. M Muthulakshmi would be appointed to the role starting April 6, 2026.
Following reconsideration and the withdrawal of Mr. Dev Kishan’s resignation, the board rescinded the relieving of Mr. Dev Kishan and the appointment of Ms. Muthulakshmi. Mr. Dev Kishan will continue in his role as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, remaining a Key Managerial Personnel. The board meeting began at 9:00 AM IST and concluded at 9:30 AM IST.
