Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Limited (SPARC) announced changes to its senior management on March 27, 2026. The company’s Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Dr. Shravanti Bhowmik, Vice President of Operations Management, effective March 31, 2026. Simultaneously, the board approved the appointment of Mr. Narendra Lakkad as Head - Corporate Development and Operations Management, effective April 1, 2026.Mr. Lakkad holds a Master's degree in Pharmacology from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. He has been associated with the Sun Pharma group since 1994, previously holding positions including Senior General Manager - Business Development at Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. and Vice President & Head - Global Business Development, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications at SPARC from 2014 to 2018. He most recently served as Vice President & Head - Program Management & Alliance Management (Specialty Portfolio) until 2023. Prior to joining SPARC, Mr. Lakkad served as Principal Advisor at the Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation, where he played a role in establishing a Comprehensive Eye Institute, a Cancer Day-care Centre and Sanatorium Facility.
