In a stock exchange filing, Autumn Investment disclosed that it acquired 10.37 crore equity shares of SpiceJet on February 25 through the invocation of pledged shares. The move relates to outstanding dues from Spice Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.The shares were originally held by promoter Ajay Singh and had been pledged as collateral against the borrower’s obligations. Following the invocation process, the entire 10.37 crore shares were transferred to Autumn Investment’s demat account.
Out of the total invoked shares, 6 crore shares have already been sold. The remaining 4.37 crore shares, representing a 2.86 percent stake in SpiceJet, continue to remain in the dematerialized account as ongoing collateral.
