PTC Industries Subsidiary, Aerolloy Technologies, Completes Installation of Advanced Forging System
Lucknow, India – March 31, 2026 – Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, announced the successful completion of installation and trials for an advanced 4500/5100 Tonne Intelligent Open Die Forging System at the Strategic Materials Technology Complex (SMTC) in Lucknow. The system is capable of forging Titanium, Superalloys, and a wide range of advanced high-performance alloys, used in next-generation aeroengines, defense platforms, space systems, and industrial gas turbines. The addition strengthens PTC and Aerolloy's capabilities, now offering a fully integrated materials-to-component supply chain encompassing melting (VIM), casting (VAR), and forging. This marks a significant advancement in India’s indigenous capability in critical aerospace manufacturing. The global market for aerospace-grade forged Titanium and Superalloy components is valued in the billions of dollars annually.
Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries, stated that the installation reduces India’s dependence on imported aerospace-grade forgings and contributes to the nation's self-reliance in critical materials.
The new forging system expands upon Aerolloy's existing capabilities, including Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace and Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) 400 furnace. This integrated approach creates efficiencies, cost competitiveness, supply chain resilience, and quality control for global customers.
