Patel Engineering Receives Letter of Acceptance for Renuka Ji Dam Project Worth Rs. 910.08 Crores​

Mumbai, March 19, 2026 — Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), a Mumbai-based infrastructure company, announced it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) for the Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1). The project is valued at Rs. 910.08 crores including GST. Previously, the company was declared the Lowest Bidder (L1) for the project.

The project is located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh and is slated for completion within 30 months.

Under the contract, Patel Engineering will construct three diversion tunnels, each with a 9.5-meter diameter and lengths ranging from 1.3 to 1.6 kilometers. The project also includes the creation of inlet and outlet structures, approximately 6 kilometers of approach and access roads, installation of hydro-mechanical systems, and comprehensive instrumentation and monitoring systems.

Patel Engineering Ltd. was established in 1949 and has experience in hydropower, tunnelling, and irrigation projects, completing over 85 dams, 40 hydroelectric projects and more than 300 km of tunnelling.
