Nvidia CEO Pulls Out of AI Impact Summit as High Profile Cancellations Mount
Jensen Huang Joins Bill Gates in Skipping New Delhi Event
New Delhi, February 17: Jensen Huang, Chief Executive Officer of Nvidia, has cancelled his visit to India and will not attend the ongoing AI Impact Summit in the national capital.Huang was considered one of the key global technology leaders scheduled to speak at the summit, which is being held from February 16 to 20. His absence follows confirmation that Bill Gates will also not be attending the event.
Bill Gates Removed from Speaker List
Gates had initially been listed among the summit speakers on the official website. However, his name no longer appeared on the website as of Tuesday. Government sources confirmed that he would not be attending.According to sources, the decision is linked to Gates’s name appearing in newly released files related to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
While Gates has not been accused of wrongdoing by any of Epstein’s victims, records released by the US Justice Department include an allegation by Epstein that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease. A spokesperson for Gates described the claim as “absolutely absurd”.
Summit Continues Despite Withdrawals
Nvidia did not provide any reason for Huang’s decision to cancel his visit. Some had linked his withdrawal to Gates’s scheduled presence at the event, though the company has not commented on such speculation.Despite the absence of two high profile global technology figures, the AI Impact Summit continues in New Delhi with participation from policymakers, founders, and industry leaders focused on artificial intelligence and innovation.
