MTNL Receives Approval for Extension of Director (Technical) Additional Charge
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) announced on March 24, 2026, that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension for Shri Sudhakararao Papa’s additional charge as Director (Technical) of the company. Papa, who currently serves as Director (Enterprise) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), initially assumed the additional role on May 7, 2025.The extension, effective May 7, 2026, or until further orders, was conveyed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) following a proposal from the DoT. During this extended period, Papa will not be entitled to additional remuneration.
