MTNL Receives Approval for Extension of Additional Charge for Director (HR&EB)
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) announced on March 24, 2026, that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the ex-post facto extension of the additional charge of the Director (HR&EB) position. Dr. Kalyan Sagar Nippani, currently Director (HR) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), will continue in the role for another year, effective October 1, 2025, or until further orders.The extension follows a Department of Telecommunications (DoT) order from December 31, 2025, and is detailed in a DoT letter dated March 24, 2026. During this extended period, Dr. Nippani will not receive any additional remuneration. The decision was authorized by DoPT (ACC) communication No. 24/02/2021-EO (ACC) dated March 20, 2026.
