Mawana Sugars Limited Receives NCLT Approval for Amalgamation Scheme​

Mawana Sugars Limited announced that the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), New Delhi Bench, has admitted a petition under Sections 230 to 232 of the Companies Act, 2013, regarding a scheme of amalgamation between Mawana Foods Private Limited (Transferor Company) and Mawana Sugars Limited (Transferee Company).

The NCLT’s order, dated March 18, 2026, directs both companies to publish notices in the Business Standard (English and Hindi, Delhi Edition) newspapers and to issue notices to specified authorities as outlined in Section 230(5) of the Companies Act, 2013. These authorities have been instructed to submit any representations within 30 days of receiving the notice.

The matter is now scheduled for further proceedings on May 13, 2026.
