Manaksia Steels Announces Capacity Expansion for Cold Rolled Coils
Manaksia Steels Limited announced a significant capacity expansion project at its Haldia, West Bengal facility on March 25, 2026. The company plans to introduce a '6-Hi Reversible Cold Rolling Mill' to increase production of Cold Rolled Coils.The expansion involves an investment of approximately Rs. 100 crore, to be funded through debt and internal accruals. The additional capacity of 2,50,000 tonnes per annum will bring the total capacity to 3,70,000 tonnes per annum. The project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of the financial year ending 2027-28.
Currently, the Haldia facility has an existing capacity of 1,20,000 tonnes per annum, with an approximate utilization rate of 82%. The rationale for the expansion includes the intention to meet both captive demand and sales in the domestic and international market.
