Life Insurance Corporation of India Announces Changes in Senior Management Personnel​

Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced elevations for several officials to new Senior Management Personnel positions. The appointments and changes were effective as of April 08, 2026.

The corporation confirmed the following personnel changes:

• Mr. Ashok Kumar: Elevated to Additional Director, Zonal Training Centre, Gurugram. Previously, he served as Regional Manager (Marketing), Central Zone, Bhopal.
• Mr. Ashutosh Kumar: Elevated to Zonal Manager, Eastern Zone, Kolkata. His former role was Regional Manager (Marketing), North Central Zone, Kanpur.
• Mr. Ganesh Kinkar Jena: Appointed as Executive Director (New Business & Re-insurance/Health Insurance), Central Office, Mumbai. Before this role, he was General Manager, LIC Housing Finance Limited, Mumbai.
• Mr. M. Ravikumar: Appointed as Additional Director, Zonal Training Centre, Hyderabad. Previously, he held the role of Regional Manager (Marketing), South Central Zone, Hyderabad.
• Mr. Narvir Singh Raghava: Appointed as Additional Zonal Manager, Northern Zone, New Delhi. He was previously working as Regional Manager (Marketing), Western Zone, Mumbai.

Profiles of Elevated Officials​

Mr. Ashok Kumar joined the Corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer. With a background that includes a Post Graduate degree in Public Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh, his career spans over 34 years, encompassing 27 years in Insurance Marketing. He has held leadership positions such as Chief Manager, Marketing Manager, Senior Divisional Manager of Jabalpur, Delhi Division-I divisions, and Secretary (Marketing), Northern Zone.

Mr. Ashutosh Kumar joined the Corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer. An alumnus of Patna University with a Graduate degree in humanities, his 34-year career includes service in both Administration and Marketing. He has spent the last 26 years in the marketing stream, holding leadership posts across various zones and verticals.

Mr. Ganesh Kinkar Jena began with the Corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer and holds a graduate degree in Agriculture Science. His career history includes service in various roles across multiple zones. Before his current designation, he served as General Manager (Marketing), LIC Housing Finance Limited.

Mr. M. Ravikumar joined the Corporation in 1990 as an Assistant Administrative Officer. He holds a Post Graduate degree in Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. His career of over three decades in the Corporation includes leadership roles across administrative and marketing functions, notably serving as Senior Branch Manager, Manager (Sales), Chief Manager, Marketing Manager, and Senior Divisional Manager of Coimbatore Division of Southern Zone and Cuddapah Division of South-Central Zone.

Mr. Narvir Singh Raghava started with the Corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer and holds M.Sc. and M.Phil. (Physics). He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. His 34-year career includes experience across administrative and marketing functions, having previously served as Programmer in the Western and Northern Zones and Administrative Manager at LIC (International), Bahrain for four years.

Today, Life Insurance Corporation Of India shares climbed to close at ₹793.7, marking an advance of 6.95% on the trading day. The stock saw considerable activity, settling after trading on a volume of 4.53 million shares.
