L&T Technology Services Divests Smart World and Communication Business
Mumbai, March 25, 2026: L&T Technology Services Limited (BSE: 540115, NSE: LTTS) announced today it is divesting its Smart World and Communication (SWC) business unit to AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited. The move is part of a portfolio rebalancing strategy focused on accelerating investment in digital engineering and core artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.AMI Paradigm, a joint venture between ParadigmIT Technology Services Private Limited and AM Intelligence Labs Private Limited, will acquire the SWC businesses. AMI Paradigm focuses on advancing AI for public systems and critical infrastructure services. The acquisition is expected to complement AMI Paradigm’s long-term growth strategy.
The divestment will allow L&T Technology Services to allocate capital towards Engineering Intelligence, a key growth area. The company’s 5-year strategic Lakshya Plan includes six technology bets, including Engineering Intelligence, to drive growth in its Mobility, Sustainability, and Tech segments.
“As we pursue long-term value creation for our stakeholders, we are reframing our strategic bets, with Engineering Intelligence, Software and Digital Manufacturing as key focus pillars,” said Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services.
Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman of AM Group, stated that advances in computing infrastructure are unlocking AI power, and the Smart World & Communication business represents a critical layer in operationalizing AI for mission-critical systems.
Sridhar Gadhi of ParadigmIT added that the joint venture will build an AI-led platform focused on domain-specific models and outcome-driven systems.
