JK Paper Limited announced it received an Appellate Order from the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), Ahmedabad, on March 27, 2026. The order pertains to the assessment year 2022-23 and follows an earlier assessment order from the Income Tax Officer.Previously, the Income Tax Officer had made additions to the company's income, resulting in an aggregate demand of Rs. 49.53 crore, including Rs. 15.19 crore in interest. JK Paper Limited had appealed this assessment.
The Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) has now deleted the additions made to the company’s income by the Income Tax Officer. Consequently, the demand of Rs. 49.53 crore (including interest of Rs. 15.19 crore) will be deleted by the Income Tax Officer.
The company stated that it does not anticipate any material adverse impact on its financials, operations, or other activities following this order.
