IRB Infrastructure Trust’s Project SPV Commences Tolling on NH-16 Section​

IRB Chandibhadra Tollway Private Limited, a Project SPV of IRB Infrastructure Trust, commenced toll collection on the Chandikhole Bhadrak Section of NH-16 from April 1, 2026. This marks the beginning of a 20-year revenue-linked concession period for the project.

The Project SPV made a payment of Rs. 3,087 Crores to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on March 30, 2026, after achieving financial closure for the project. April 1, 2026, was designated as the Appointed Date by the NHAI.

Mr. Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman and Managing Director of IRB Group, stated that the project represents the Group's presence in 13 Indian States and is a vital link between the Southern and Eastern regions.

The TOT-18 Concession involves a 74.5-kilometer corridor with 447 lane kilometers.

Key Highlights of the TOT-18 Concession:
  • First project in the State of Odisha (13th Indian State for the Group).
  • 74.5 Kms (447 Lane Kms) long corridor from Chandikhole to Bhadrak on NH-16.
  • Revenue Linked Concession Period of 20-years.
  • O&M Order Book rises by approximately Rs. 1,600 Crores.
IRB Infrastructure Trust emerged as the highest bidder for the project and signed the Concession Agreement with NHAI on February 4, 2026.
