
InterGlobe Aviation to Contest GST Order
InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., the parent company of IndiGo, announced on March 26, 2026, that it has received an order from the Additional Commissioner, CGST Gurugram Commissionerate. The order pertains to Goods and Services Tax (GST) proceedings covering the period from FY 2019-20 to FY 2024-25.According to the order, the department has imposed a demand of INR 42,92,24,671 along with interest and penalty for services the company states were not received and paid. InterGlobe Aviation believes the order is not in accordance with law and has received advice from external tax advisors to that effect.
The company plans to contest the order and pursue appropriate legal remedies. Management noted that the order is not expected to have a significant impact on the company's financials, operations, or other activities.
