Honda Cars India Reports 30.11% Drop in Total Sales in February 2026

Total Sales Fall to 7,212 Units

New Delhi, March 1: Honda Cars India Ltd reported a 30.11 per cent year on year decline in total sales for February 2026, with overall dispatches standing at 7,212 units.

The automaker had recorded total sales of 10,320 units in February 2025, marking a significant contraction in its combined domestic and export performance.

Domestic Sales Remain Steady

Despite the sharp drop in overall numbers, domestic sales remained largely stable. The company sold 5,629 units in the Indian market in February 2026, marginally higher than 5,616 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The near flat domestic performance helped cushion the overall impact of weaker export volumes during the month.

Exports See Sharp Sequential Decline

Exports stood at 1,583 units in February 2026. This was considerably lower compared to 4,707 units shipped in the previous month, reflecting a substantial drop in overseas dispatches.

The export slowdown significantly weighed on the company’s total sales figure for the month.

Honda Amaze Drives Momentum

Commenting on the February performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President Marketing and Sales at the company, said the sales momentum was sustained during the month.

He attributed the steady domestic numbers to strong demand for the Honda Amaze compact sedan, while the Honda City and Honda Elevate also delivered consistent volumes.

Outlook for Final Month of Fiscal Year

As the fiscal year approaches its final month, the company expressed optimism about overall market performance, indicating confidence in sustained demand across its key models.

The February data highlights a mixed performance for the automaker, with resilient domestic sales offset by a steep fall in exports.
