
Godawari Power and Ispat Receives Consent to Operate for Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant
Godawari Power and Ispat Limited announced on April 2, 2026, that it has received Consent to Operate from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board for a 6.91 MW Waste Heat Recovery Based Power Plant. The plant is located in the Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and utilizes waste heat from the company's Pellet Plant and Ferro Alloys Division.The plant, which commenced its trial run and testing phase on April 2, 2026, is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of April 2026. The power plant’s capacity is 6.91 MW.
According to a company release, Godawari Power and Ispat Limited holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 50001:2018, and ISO 27001:2022 certifications.
