
AI to Become Foundational Infrastructure Across Eternal’s Commerce Ecosystem
New Delhi, February 17: Food delivery and commerce major Eternal on Tuesday announced the expansion of its strategic collaboration with OpenAI to significantly enhance artificial intelligence capabilities across its business verticals, including Zomato, Blinkit, District and Hyperpure.The collaboration also extends to Eternal’s Feeding India initiative and its AI-native venture Nugget, underscoring the company’s push to embed advanced AI tools across consumer platforms, partner ecosystems, and internal systems.
Enterprise API Integration to Strengthen AI Deployment
As part of the expanded engagement, Eternal will leverage OpenAI’s Enterprise API platform to explore new ways customers and partners interact with its platforms. The initiative includes deploying advanced AI tools within partner applications and integrating sophisticated coding models into Stitch, the company’s in-house AI orchestration and automation platform.Stitch currently powers end-to-end automation across engineering and non-engineering functions within Eternal. The company is evaluating the integration of OpenAI’s latest coding models, including GPT-5.3-Codex, to strengthen automation capabilities, accelerate product releases, and reduce manual workloads.
Eternal stated that this move is expected to enhance operational efficiency and support faster execution across teams.
AI-Assisted Workflows and Next-Generation Search
Through the collaboration, Eternal plans to deploy OpenAI models across selected use cases. These include AI-assisted workflows for merchants and delivery partners, contextual AI assistants embedded within partner portals, and experimentation with next-generation search and discovery interfaces across its applications.The company emphasized that these initiatives are designed to make AI practical for everyday decisions and workflows, while ensuring the reliability and speed required across its commerce platforms.
Nugget to Accelerate AI-Driven Product Innovation
The collaboration also covers Nugget, Eternal’s AI-native venture. OpenAI models will be applied across select use cases within Nugget to accelerate product development cycles and enable rapid iteration.By integrating AI more deeply into its product stack, Eternal aims to build AI as core infrastructure within its commerce ecosystem, spanning both consumer-facing services and enterprise operations.
Partner Upskilling Program to Drive AI Adoption
Eternal and OpenAI will also explore launching a structured Partner Upskilling Program focused on accelerating AI adoption among restaurant and delivery partners.
