Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd. Secures INR 1481 Crores in Projects, Expands into Renewable Energy and BESS Segment
New Delhi, April 2, 2026 – Enviro Infra Engineers Limited (EIEL), a leading infrastructure company specializing in water and waste-water treatment solutions, announced the securing of five significant projects during March 2026, valued at a combined INR 1,481 Crores. This marks a strong conclusion to the financial year and strengthens the company's growth momentum.A key development is EIEL’s entry into the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment within the renewable energy sector, with projects totaling INR 1,070 Crores awarded by NTPC Limited. These projects represent a significant scale-up for the company and demonstrate its ability to execute large and complex energy projects. The combined capacity of these BESS projects is 930 MWH.
This expansion aligns with India's rapidly scaling energy storage market, driven by renewable integration needs, falling battery costs, and policy support. EIEL’s entry is positioned to benefit from the early stage of BESS project development in India, which is estimated to have a 208 GWh gap.
The project wins also expand EIEL’s geographical footprint into Bihar, Assam, and Telangana.
“We are pleased to secure these prestigious orders from NTPC, marking a key milestone in our diversification into the renewable energy sector,” said Mr. Sanjay Jain, Chairman of EIEL. “Battery Energy Storage Systems are critical to ensuring grid stability and enabling round-the-clock renewable power. As India accelerates its energy transition, BESS represents a large, long-term opportunity.”
Alongside its existing water and wastewater treatment business, the addition of BESS projects further strengthens EIEL's order book and signifies its transition into a diversified infrastructure player spanning water, sanitation, and sustainable energy solutions.
