Elixiir Foods Raises $9 Million to Build Private Labels and Farm-to-Fork Backend in Delhi NCR

Elixiir Foods, a National Capital Region based grocery startup, has raised $9 million in its seed funding round, with the capital set to accelerate its private-label strategy, farm-to-fork backend infrastructure, and tech-enabled omnichannel expansion across Delhi NCR.

The funding round was led by 3one4 Capital, with participation from Incubate Fund Asia.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Mediratta said the fresh capital will be deployed to establish physical retail stores alongside e-commerce capabilities, while also building a robust supply chain directly linked to farmers.

Private Labels to Drive 60 to 70 Percent of Sales

Elixiir Foods plans to anchor its business model around high-quality private labels, which are expected to account for 60 to 70 percent of total sales volume.

Mediratta said the company will source directly from farmers and develop its own backend manufacturing facilities. These facilities will follow stringent quality control and pesticide-testing protocols, forming the backbone of its differentiated grocery offering.

The startup’s focus on private labels is designed to ensure better quality control, stronger margins, and enhanced customer trust in a highly competitive grocery market.

Building a Trust-Led Grocery Platform

Elixiir Foods is positioning itself as a destination-led grocery platform, targeting evolving consumption patterns among urban Indian consumers.

According to Mediratta, rising per capita incomes, now exceeding $2,500, are reshaping food preferences. Customers are increasingly seeking fresh, wholesome products, authentic regional and global cuisines, and transparency in sourcing.

“Our aim is to become the most trusted destination for fresh, healthy, wholesome and gourmet food, but at affordable prices, so that it is accessible to the majority,” he said.

The company estimates a total addressable market opportunity of nearly $100 billion, with a target customer base of around 150 million urban Indians.

Wide Product Portfolio Under One Roof

Elixiir Foods plans to offer a comprehensive product range that includes fresh produce, meat and seafood, dairy products, staples, spices, and cold-pressed oils.

By consolidating multiple food categories under one umbrella, the startup aims to create a full-service grocery destination that blends quality, affordability, and convenience.

Shifting Focus Beyond Quick Commerce

In an urban grocery ecosystem dominated by rapid delivery promises, Elixiir Foods is consciously distancing itself from the quick-commerce narrative.

Mediratta said the focus is shifting from 10-minute delivery models and discount-led positioning to quality-driven food retail. He highlighted growing consumer awareness around cooking oils, grains, minimally processed snacks, and traceable sourcing as key drivers of demand.

As the company builds its omnichannel presence across Delhi NCR, its strategy centers on quality assurance, direct farm sourcing, and private-label strength rather than speed-based competition.
