Elgi Equipments Delays Capacity Expansion for Air Compressors and Support Center
Elgi Equipments Limited announced revisions to the timeline for expanding its manufacturing facilities in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore. The project, initially communicated on May 27, 2024, aims to increase production capacity for air compressors and parts.The expansion of the Global Support Center (GSC) is now anticipated in Q1 of fiscal year 2026-27, a shift from the previously projected Q4 of fiscal year 2025-26. Similarly, the expansion of Diesel-Powered Screw Air Compressor (DPSAC) capacity is now expected in Q4 of fiscal year 2027-28, delayed from the initial estimate.
According to the company, these delays are attributed to delays in obtaining necessary statutory and regulatory approvals. Elgi Equipments confirmed that these delays have not impacted the company’s revenue.
