Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Announces Changes in Senior Management Personnel​

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited reported several changes in its Senior Management Personnel (SMP) on April 7, 2026. The company, which operates as a subsidiary of Coal India Limited and a Government of India Public Sector Undertaking, recorded superannuation for two key members and subsequent appointments for others.

The management updates detail the following transitions:
  • Dr. Kunal Das retired due to superannuation.
  • Randip Singh also retired upon superannuation.
The company announced appointments for Bhim Singh and Satish Neeraj Kumar. Bhim Singh was appointed as an SMP upon assuming charge on April 6, 2026. His appointment followed a transfer from the Science & Technology Department to the Blasting Department and coincided with the superannuation of Dr. Kunal Das. Bhim Singh is identified as a Senior Manager (Geology) and has been associated with the company since 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, and a Master of Science (MSc) degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

Satish Neeraj Kumar was appointed as an SMP upon assuming charge as HoD (Publication). He currently serves as the Chief Manager (Geology) and HoD (Publication) of the company. His association with the company dates back to August 10, 2009, and he holds a degree in Master of Science Applied Geology from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India.

For reference, the initial superannuation of Dr. Kunal Das was effective from April 1, 2026.
