Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd. Receives Favorable ITAT Judgment
Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd. announced today, March 23, 2026, that it has received a favorable judgment from the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in New Delhi regarding Assessment Year 2015-16. The ruling resolves a dispute concerning a previous addition of Rs. 53.50 Lacs made by the Assessing Officer.The company initially challenged the Assessing Officer’s decision, which was subsequently upheld by the CIT appeal. Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd. then appealed to the ITAT. The ITAT Bench, in a judgment delivered in February 2026, deleted 90% of the initial addition.
Following this decision, Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd. reports that it has no pending income tax cases before any forum. Whole Time Director Raktim Acharjee noted the company has accepted and appreciates the ITAT's decision, reaffirming the company’s compliance and good standing with tax authorities.
