
Borana Weaves Commissions Solar Power Project, Expands Weaving Capacity
Surat, March 25, 2026 – Borana Weaves Ltd., a leading producer of Synthetic Greige fabric, has announced the successful commissioning of a 3.545 MW rooftop solar power project and the full operationalization of its expanded weaving capacity.The company’s new solar power project is expected to reduce reliance on conventional power sources and improve cost efficiencies. Borana Weaves anticipates lower power costs, improved operating margins, and greater energy cost stability through increased integration of renewable energy.
Additionally, all 160 high-speed Water Jet (WJ) looms at Unit 4B are now fully operational. Previously, 64 looms had commenced production. This expansion is expected to substantially increase output capacity, improve operational efficiency and asset utilization, and support revenue growth.
