Mumbai – March 28, 2026 – Bharti Hexacom Limited announced today that it received a notice from the Department of Telecommunications, North East LSA (DoT), imposing a penalty of Rs. 264,000. The penalty is related to alleged violations of subscriber verification norms.

The notice, received on March 27, 2026, stems from a Customer Application Form (CAF) Audit conducted by DoT for the quarter ending December 2025. The audit reportedly found violations of terms and conditions related to subscriber verification under the company's License Agreement.

The potential financial impact is limited to the amount of the levied penalty. Bharti Hexacom stated that the penalty rate is currently under review by the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT).
