
Bharat Seats Limited Receives Appellate Orders from Income Tax Department
Bharat Seats Limited announced it received appellate orders from the Income Tax Department, Office of the Commissioner of Income Tax(Appeals), Delhi. The orders pertain to assessment years 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18. The orders were received on March 31, 2026, and dated March 30, 2026.The company had previously disclosed outstanding demands related to assessment orders under sections 147/143(3) of the Income Tax Act. As of June 28, 2024, and April 1, 2025, the total outstanding demand was Rs. 22.43 crores. Of this, a demand of Rs. 7.86 crores for assessment years 2014-15 to 2017-18 will be reduced to Nil following the appellate orders. Appeals regarding the remaining demand of Rs. 14.57 crores, relating to assessment years 2018-19 to 2024-25, remain pending before the CIT(A).
