Bharat Seats Limited Receives Appellate Orders from Income Tax Department​

Bharat Seats Limited announced it received appellate orders from the Income Tax Department, Office of the Commissioner of Income Tax(Appeals), Delhi. The orders pertain to assessment years 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18. The orders were received on March 31, 2026, and dated March 30, 2026.

The company had previously disclosed outstanding demands related to assessment orders under sections 147/143(3) of the Income Tax Act. As of June 28, 2024, and April 1, 2025, the total outstanding demand was Rs. 22.43 crores. Of this, a demand of Rs. 7.86 crores for assessment years 2014-15 to 2017-18 will be reduced to Nil following the appellate orders. Appeals regarding the remaining demand of Rs. 14.57 crores, relating to assessment years 2018-19 to 2024-25, remain pending before the CIT(A).
