Astra Microwave Products Limited Announces Leadership Changes and Demerger Approval
Astra Microwave Products Limited (AMPL) announced on April 3, 2026, that S. Gurunatha Reddy will step down from his position as Managing Director, effective September 30, 2026. He will remain as an Executive Director and will transition to Astra Space Technologies Private Limited (ASTPL) as a Director, overseeing the Space, Meteorology, and Hydrology business.The Board of Directors granted in-principle approval for the demerger of the Space, Meteorology, and Hydrology business undertakings into a separate entity on February 27, 2026. Mr. Reddy will be responsible for implementing tailored growth strategies and capital allocation frameworks for the newly formed entity.
Dr. M. V. Reddy, the current Joint Managing Director, will assume the role of Managing Director of AMPL, effective October 1, 2026, subject to board approval.
The company expressed appreciation for Mr. Reddy’s contributions and believes his involvement with ASTPL will drive significant growth.
