Bharti Airtel, a prominent Indian telecommunications service provider, announced the deployment of over 4300 new 5G sites across the UP East region within the last 12 months. This significant network expansion is aimed at substantially strengthening the company's connectivity presence throughout the region.The large-scale network enhancement spanned 48 districts in the UP East circle, thereby covering an estimated 34 million people residing in urban centers, growth towns, and remote rural villages. By adding an average of 12 new sites daily, Airtel has accelerated the rollout of high-speed connectivity, ensuring consistent performance for activities related to work, education, entertainment, and digital payments for its customers.
Customers in major areas including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, and Ayodhya, among others, stand to benefit directly from this bolstered network infrastructure. This increased coverage will facilitate seamless access to high-speed 5G services, supporting the daily digital requirements of citizens, students, micro entrepreneurs, enterprises, and government institutions across both urban and rural markets.
