Adani Power Secures 558 MW Supply Contract from TNPDCL, Strengthens Long-Term Revenue Visibility

Moxie Power Wins Five-Year Power Supply Order in Tamil Nadu

Ahmedabad, February 24: Adani Power on Tuesday announced that its subsidiary, Moxie Power Generation Ltd, has received a Letter of Award from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation for the supply of 558 MW net power over a five-year period.

The power will be supplied at a tariff of ₹5.910 per unit, with deliveries scheduled to commence from April 1, 2026. Moxie Power emerged as the lowest bidder in a competitive bidding process.

Tuticorin Plant to Anchor Supply

Moxie Power operates a 1,200 MW power plant comprising two units of 600 MW each in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. Both units of the plant are currently tied up under power supply agreements.

The additional 558 MW allocation is expected to support consumers across Tamil Nadu by strengthening grid stability and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to households, businesses, and industries.

Over 95 Percent Capacity Secured Under Long-Term Contracts

Adani Power stated that more than 95 percent of its total operating capacity is secured under medium to long-term power purchase agreements. The company aims to achieve nearly 100 percent PPA tie-ups for all its operational and under-commissioning plants in the coming years.

This contracting structure provides long-term revenue visibility and reduces exposure to short-term market volatility.

Installed Capacity and Pan-India Presence

Adani Power is India’s largest private sector thermal power producer, with a generation capacity of 18.15 GW. The company has an installed thermal power capacity of 18,110 MW across 12 power plants located in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Tamil Nadu. It also operates a 40 MW solar power plant in Gujarat.

Q3 FY26 Performance

For the third quarter of FY26, Adani Power reported a 5.3 percent year-on-year increase in profit before tax. The company’s PBT stood at ₹2,800 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to ₹2,659 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The improvement was attributed primarily to lower finance costs and stable operating performance.

With the latest 558 MW contract from Tamil Nadu, Adani Power further strengthens its contracted portfolio while expanding its presence in a key southern power market.
