New Delhi, February 14, 2026 (IST) – GMR Airports Limited (BSE: 532754 | NSE: GMRAIRPORT) reported its highest-ever monthly passenger traffic, serving 11.13 million passengers in January 2026, marking a 3.9 percent year-on-year growth, according to the company’s monthly traffic update for January 2026 .
The airport operator also crossed the 100 million passenger milestone in the current financial year (YTD FY26), setting a new record for cumulative traffic handled across its network.

YTD FY26 Performance: Crosses 100 Million Passenger Milestone​

For the financial year to date, GMR Airports handled 100.96 million passengers, up 1.2 percent YoY, setting a new benchmark for cumulative traffic.

Domestic passenger traffic reached 76 million, up 0.6 percent YoY, while international traffic rose to 25 million, up 3.0 percent YoY .

Delhi Airport: International Traffic at Record High​

Delhi Airport remained the largest contributor, handling 7.2 million passengers in January 2026, up 4.7 percent YoY.
  • Domestic traffic: 5.2 million, up 5.5 percent YoY
  • International traffic: 2.1 million (highest-ever), up 2.8 percent YoY
On a YTD basis, Delhi handled 64.7 million passengers, with international passenger volumes reaching a record 17.9 million .
Cargo volumes at Delhi also touched a new high, handling approximately 0.95 million metric tonnes in YTD FY26, up 3.1 percent YoY .
The airport expanded its global footprint to 159 destinations and added new long-haul and European routes during January 2026.

Hyderabad Airport: Strong International Growth​

Hyderabad Airport handled 2.7 million passengers in January 2026.
  • Domestic: 2.1 million, down 4.0 percent YoY
  • International: 0.52 million (highest-ever), up 15.1 percent YoY
On a YTD basis, Hyderabad handled 25.9 million passengers (highest-ever), reflecting a 6.4 percent YoY increase .
Cargo throughput rose to ~1.6 lakh metric tonnes in YTD FY26, up 8.9 percent YoY .

Mopa (Goa) Airport: Continued Record Momentum​

Mopa Airport delivered robust growth with 0.60 million passengers in January 2026, up 32.1 percent YoY.
  • Domestic: 0.54 million, up 35.3 percent YoY
  • International: 0.06 million, up 9.7 percent YoY
YTD FY26 passenger traffic stood at 4.4 million, up 15.2 percent YoY .
Since commencement of operations in January 2023, Mopa has cumulatively handled 14.2 million passengers and 0.98 lakh aircraft movements .

Bhogapuram Airport Nears Completion​

Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh, being developed with a Phase 1 design capacity of 6 million passengers per annum, is scheduled for completion by June 30, 2026. Overall project progress reached 97.4 percent as of January 31, 2026, with airside works nearly complete .

  • Traffic has consistently remained above 10 million passengers per month since October 2025 .
  • Duty-free allowance for international passengers at Delhi, Hyderabad, and Goa airports increased to ₹75,000 effective February 2, 2026 .
